Maritime Credentialing

Argonaut supports Davis Aerospace and Maritime students on their journey to earning their Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) and U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC). Together with Davis, we are responsible for ensuring the mariners receive the training and education in the classroom, after school, and on the water necessary to meet the talent needs of our partners on the Great Lakes and beyond. Our mission is to engage students through a personalized, challenging curriculum with real-world connections, internships with community partners, and anytime-anywhere learning, so that they believe in their abilities, explore new opportunities, and chart their own course.

Argonaut programs provide students with maritime skills that may lead directly to employment in the maritime industry, or enable them to further their education through a variety of post-secondary options. The credentials Davis students earn provide the foundation for those considering entry into a vocational or collegiate-level program, including one of the six State Maritime Academies, and/or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
